Love letter???

I have a friend who has a profile on this site; she tends to get a bit more "vocal attention" than I get, but that's ok when you take into account the kinds of notes she gets; here's the most recent installment in "Creepy Mail from Europeans:"

"...So I prefer to tell you that I love the scent of wet grass and winds in early spring, moon and ripe fruits, resins on trees in autumn and the green wheat in May, raindrops on a beach and mountains skylines at dusk..."

And that's not even one of the BAD ones! I'm no Date Doctor by any means, but even if you truly like all of those things like raindrops and resins, it seems a little strange to put it exactly in that way, doesn't it? - The old "These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things" song comes to mind. I mean the old "I like long moonlit walks on the beach..." cliche doesn't really turn anyone on anymore, does it?

Ladies, is that kind of thing more appealing or creepy (she's considering taking her picture off after this one).

(I must say, this is not intended as any kind of a slight against Europeans; it's just that all of her creepy emails come from Europeans - I don't get it either)

I know that the whole idea of meeting new people online - believe me, I know. It can be scary, intimidating and nerve-wracking, especially to those of us who are new to this whole process of online interaction.

Still, there appear to be some out there who don't share these concerns, especially while they are safely separated by a few hundred miles of computer cable. There are people who believe they can do the "Creep" thing and scare off others with the way-too-aggressive, almost scary approach.

Are these the folks that are making it so hard for some people to respond? What is up with the dozens, maybe hundreds of folks out there who say stuff like "I Love Meeting New People" and "Write Me if You Want To Talk" but never seem to bother to write back. I understand that not everyone wants to get hot and heavy with everyone who email them - that's not the problem. The problem lies in the fact that so few people seem to be willing to even send a simple note back.

I risk sounding hokey by quoting Jerry Seinfeld, but "What's Up With That!?"
